Circular Quest is an interactive scavenger hunt that raises awareness and understanding of the circular economy. Participants experience sustainable action in everyday life and at work in an entertaining way and are playfully integrated into sustainable thinking.

Circular Quest is aimed at students in the 3rd cycle who want to develop an awareness of circular behavior in everyday life and at school.

What is Circular Quest?

Circular Quest offers an exciting scavenger hunt that introduces participants to the world of the circular economy through interactive and local explorations. Through playful elements and hands-on tasks, participants learn about the principles of the circular economy and understand how they can apply them in their daily lives and jobs. Circular Quest not only promotes awareness of sustainable practices, but also provides a platform for networking and collaboration between different actors and communities.

Olten

Circular Quest will start as a pilot project in Olten from September 2024. This pilot will allow us to test the concept in a real-life setting and gather valuable feedback from participants to further improve the experience. Olten was chosen as the ideal location for the launch due to its central location, diverse local initiatives and strong community involvement.

Olten - Insight into the first posts

Following an evaluation phase of the pilot project in Olten, the plan is to expand Circular Quest to other cities. The next cities in which the project is to be implemented are Dietikon, Aarau and Zurich.

Description

Discover the city of Olten in a fun way and learn about the principles of the circular economy. The Circular Quest starts at the train station and takes you through various stations where you can explore innovative approaches to resource conservation and waste avoidance. Along the way, you will discover exciting initiatives, find out how waste is turned into valuable raw materials and learn how each of us can make a contribution to sustainability. The trail ends at the Werkhof, where you can delve deeper into the circular economy.

Please book your tickets online. With the booking confirmation you can pick up your game materials at the starting point. However, it is not possible to book the Circular Quest on site.

As Circular Quest starts at the train station in Olten, we recommend traveling by public transport. Click here for the SBB timetable.

Arriving by car: Take the Olten freeway exit and follow the signs to Zentrum/Bahnhof. There are several parking facilities in the immediate vicinity of the station, including the Neuhard parking garagewhich is only a few minutes' walk from the station.

Actionbound is an interactive app that allows you to create and play digital scavenger hunts, also known as Bounds.

Internet connection
Necessary for downloading the Bound (content) and for uploading the results.

A permanent internet connection during the scavenger hunt is not required as all the necessary data is downloaded in advance.
