August 21, 2024

Olten SO - The Circular Quest education and experience project starts on September 12 at Werkhof Olten. In a kind of scavenger hunt, there are several stations with information on the circular economy throughout the town.

Circular Quest will be launched as a pilot project in Olten on September 12. Circular Quest is an innovative educational and experiential project that teaches the principles of the circular economy to various target groups such as vocational trainees, company employees and private individuals in a fun way, according to a press release from Eartheffect GmbH, based in Olten.

"The circular economy is more than just recycling," says a press release from the organizers. It is a comprehensive concept that aims to save scarce raw materials, use products for as long as possible and avoid waste wherever possible. In addition to recycling, there are numerous other strategies that play an important role in the economy and everyday life. These strategies and their importance for companies and individuals will be the subject of the scavenger hunt in Olten.

Guided by an app, participants solve puzzles to get closer to the solution. With the correct answers, they find the next post in Olten city center, which establishes a link to the circular economy. At the end, the participants stand in front of a large wall with exhibits made from recycled materials.

The organizers of Circular Quest are inviting all interested parties to a free event at the exhibition venue in the Werkhof Olten on 12 September at 4 pm. In addition to brief inputs on the circular economy from experts, an aperitif will offer the opportunity for in-depth discussions.

Circular Quest was developed by Future Perfect, an association for the promotion of education for sustainable development, with support from the Federal Officefor the Environment(FOEN) and the Swisslos Fund Solothurn. ce/gba
